Inonotus obliquus
Product of USA
Dried Chaga is most commonly brewed with coffee or used to make a tea or tincture. Its flavor is rich and toasty, with notes of vanilla and oak. They're rich in antioxidants, polysaccharides, and immune-supporting compounds.
Far West Fungi creates this line of dried mushrooms by air-drying a select portion of its fresh organic and wild foraged mushrooms. All drying is done in-house at our own commercial kitchen, where great care is taken to preserve the natural essence of the mushroom. The result is a powerful, concentrated mushroom product, free from sodium, preservatives, or any other additive. It’s simple and pure: mushroom essence and nothing else.
Instructions for Brewing:
2 -3 pieces of dried Chaga
8 - 12 cups of water
Stir into a crockpot or medium-sized saucepot. In crockpot, simmer on low setting for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, adding more water as needed. In saucepot, simmer on low heat on the back burner of the stove for a minimum of 2 hours. For best results, cook up to 4 hours. Strain out mushroom solids and discard (or may be used to reinfuse once more for weaker results), then store tea in a glass jar(s) in refrigerator for up to 1 week. Can be frozen for up to 6 months. For best results, drink 1 chilled pint per day.
