Four generations of the Garrone family have been selling mushrooms at Bay Area farmers’ markets for over fifty years. This is truly the backbone of our family business. Our goal is to educate customers on the nature of our products, and to introduce new products that may not be available from less specialized grocery retailers. Since farmers’ markets are not just a place to shop, but also to socialize, we make a point to answer any questions and offer helpful hints and recipe ideas for cooking our mushrooms.
Now that traditional markets have seen a revival, especially in the past decade, we now have expanded our markets throughout San Francisco and the Peninsula. With this expansion, we look forward to enjoying old and creating new relationships while continuing our life-long family tradition.
