With recent trends in health and media, fungi has skyrocketed to the top of mainstream public fascination. There has never been a better time to add exotic mushrooms to your restaurant menu or inventory repertoire, and Far West Fungi can help you stay at the forefront of this massive shift in popularity.  

Far West Fungi’s family run farm has been serving the Bay Area’s high end restaurants and gourmet specialty grocers since 1982. We cultivate 14 varieties of certified organic mushrooms on our farm in Moss Landing.

The journey so far!

Our global truffle connections allow us to import up to 8 varieties of fresh truffles, including Perigords and White Albas from Italy, which also rotate seasonally. 

All of our mushroom varieties are also available in dried form, which we process in-house at our warehouse in South San Francisco.

Our fresh products are hand-selected for highest quality, and shipped from South San Francisco in 5lb boxes. 

Our offering

In addition to this, we work with professional foragers to offer over 20 varieties of wild foraged mushrooms, which rotate on a seasonal basis. We also source wild or rare produce items, such as fresh wasabi, wild ramps, fiddlehead ferns, sea beans, and finger limes.
