Far West Fungi, the San Francisco Mushroom Store, opened its doors on April 1, 2004, in the beautifully redeveloped Ferry Building in San Francisco. Located on the Embarcadero waterfront, the historic Ferry Building offers one of California's most prestigious outdoor farmers' markets, and an indoor culinary paradise of gourmet specialty shops and restaurants.
Our vision is to create a unique shopping experience for our customers, in which one can peruse a visually stunning array of fresh edible fungi and obscure wild foraged produce, and learn from intimate, hands-on interactions with our highly trained staff. We take great pride in offering as many as forty-two different varieties of mushrooms on a rotating seasonal basis. We provide the freshest and finest cultivated mushrooms, wild mushrooms, and truffles from around the world. In addition to fresh produce, we carry a variety of myco-nutraceuticals in the form of tinctures, powders, and teas, and we have curated a vast collection of the finest mushroom products our industry has to offer, including dried mushrooms, pates, truffle oils, mushroom jerky, marinated mushrooms, books and gifts.
