Pioppini is a cultivated mushroom grown organically in Northern California. It is a sweet and nutty mushroom that has a spicy flavor when dried. A wonderful substitution for porcini, this Italian variety is excellent added to Miso soup, cream sauce, or as a flavoring for any Italian dish.
Far West Fungi creates this line of mushroom powders by air-drying fresh mushrooms in our own commercial kitchen, and then grinding them into a fine powder.
